If you were expecting a restaurant, market or cafe and landed on a listing in this group, it usually means the original source listed the business under an unusual or mixed category rather than a plain food label. Contact information, address and hours are still pulled from the same public data used across Elgin and Illinois, so they should be accurate even where the category is not a perfect fit. Because this group spans everything from medical clinics to auto shops to gift stores, there is no single etiquette or norm that applies across it; treat each listing on its own terms and call ahead if the category alone does not tell you what you need to know.

They will make your churros fresh right in front of you! They're delicious! The Spanish-style chocolate sauce was good but not nearly as thick as it is in Spain. Definitely a good stop for a tasty treat!

It wasn’t too bad, it was okay. The portion size was okay for $6. I got the poppers with Nutella and Dulce sauce on top. I wanted the one with soft serve ice cream but it seems like they sold out of it. I was there around noon yesterday (2/12). The lady there was very kind and sweets and it was just her working there at the time. The poppers are on the harder size once you get them. I just think that they fry too fast and get hard too quickly. I would try this place again. I just would get a regular churro instead. Overall food wise I’ll give it a 7.5/10.

Churro Bar in Elgin is a gem! Their churros are super fresh and taste amazing—crispy on the outside, soft inside. You can tell it’s a family-owned spot, and that adds a nice touch. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area and craving something sweet!

Unfortunately, this place is right next to a hair salon. Walked in and instead of smelling warm and delicious, it smelled like perm and it was STRONG and gross. My take away from this place. The staff, very nice. Their iced coffee SUCKS big time. Zero flavor. I would not recommend it at all. The churros are freshly made and they are good but I would not say great. The person I was with loves them. I wasn't a huge fan. They are okay, just not my cup of tea. If you are going to try it, order it to go if the place smells weird so you can better enjoy the experience. I highly doubt I will ever return to this place, nothing spectacular about it that would make me want to return but if you are a big fan of churros they do have a good selection of things and they do give you a lot.

We were welcome with a big hello when we walked in the Churro Bar. The menu was posted on the wall and above the counter. The menu is filled with churro options including filled churros, dipping sauces for the churros and ice cream with churros. The churros were freshly made to order. The churros were soft and warm, filled with the strawberry and Bavarian cream fillings we requested. Definitely my new favorite place for dessert.
